About Common Ground Research
Common Ground Research is an independent, non-partisan research initiative focused on public opinion, organizational research, and applied analytics. Through surveys, data analysis, and applied research, we seek to better understand the perspectives, experiences, and priorities of the people affected by important decisions.
Common Ground Research was established in 2026.
What we study
Public opinion
Economic & social trends
Organizational behavior
Understanding perspectives on issues affecting communities, public services, infrastructure, and society.
Research exploring confidence, expectations, and changing economic and demographic conditions.
Examining workplace experiences, employee engagement, organizational trust, and institutional effectiveness.
How we work
Every study we publish is designed to answer five questions: what was studied, how it was studied, who participated, what was found, and what limitations readers should understand. We believe that transparent methodology is a core part of what makes research trustworthy.
We disclose questionnaire wording, sample characteristics, fieldwork dates, and margin of error wherever applicable. Readers are encouraged to draw their own conclusions from the data we present.
Guiding principles
Independent
Our research conclusions are not shaped by the preferences of any funder, client, or sponsor. Commissioned research is conducted to the same methodological standards as our published work.
Evidence-based
Findings follow from data and analysis. We do not design research to confirm a predetermined conclusion, and we report results that challenge assumptions as readily as those that support them.
Transparent
We disclose methodology, questionnaire design, fieldwork details, and study limitations. Clients and readers alike should be able to evaluate how findings were produced.
Non-partisan
We have no political affiliation and no preferred policy outcome. Our interest is in what people actually think, not in what any organization would prefer they think.
